Guitar sound on NMF

I was just wondering if anyone knew how Bloodbath got the guitars to sound the way they do on NMF. I love the tone, it's pure metal.

I don't know what they used, but I guess it was pretty expensive gear. If they played Swanö's 5 string-axe, it was a guitar with an active pickup. (high output)
But what makes the guitars so fat is also the Bass guitar sound! It belongs together, and the Bass sound is one of the best I've heard on Metal albums!!
And the mix is very important. When there's a riff with only guitar, it sounds pretty normal, but all together it's fat.

They used the Metalzone on RTC, but NMF doesn't sound like Metalzone-distortion to me.

Boss Heavy Metal pedal run into a DigiTech Multieffects thingymajig run straight into the computer. Two distortions overlayed with no amp.

I run a les paul with a duncan JB in bridge through Boss GT-8 > Laney GH50L (effects loop) > avatar cab loaded with eminence governors and am very close to NMF tone.

it's just straight from the amps, they use dual rectifiers
