guitar speakers used in cabs

what do you think opeth use, or have used...

still life really sticks out for me...i would put money on them using vintage 30s for that album. what do you guys think? we always talk about gear, but nothing is ever mentioned about speaker choice, which makes a huge difference in tone.

I'm betting Vintage 30. Or whatever the ENGL cab has in it, stock.

still life has that mid-range presence and growl, with sweet highs...these are sounds that a vintage 30 produces in a distinct fashion.

I think stock speakers of an ENGL too.. I'm not too sure, did they play Laney then also?
Somehow, I imagine they guys of Opeth buying great gear, and not realy caring for the individual parts.. IE Lindgrend plays his PRS with stock pickups.

They use a Peavy 5150 head with an engl 100watt cab
