This round will get 7 days because I am uploading two rounds at once.

When voting, please keep in mind this is about the guitar tone. Some have louder guitars than others. No extreme differences though. Some files were submitted with master bus changes. These were disqualified. Some files were submitted with a much louder backing track. These too were disqualified. All the uploaded files here have been checked, but it may be that we missed a mistake. If you hear that someone didn't follow the rules let Anssi and myself know.

Without further delay, here are the 7 contestants for round six.

If you recognise your own work, please keep it to yourself. Usernames will be made public in the end. Please place your vote, and post in the thread with your reasoning!

All uploaded files are 320kbps mp3s. Note that this round starts with 6B due to previous disqualification. There is also no 6E! Also Disqualified.

You can edit your original post in advanced options but I don't recall if it changes in the forum or only in the thread.

If not you'll need a mod (Lasse? :))

Does this round have any real amps in it? I went with 6G, had a little more balls than the others. Could be that it was just mixed loud.

Wow 7A is a clear winner to me in this one. Great overall balance. Fits the mix perfect and has a great lead tone. I'm impressed.

Suffice to say 7A moves on to the next round! Congrats.

6D was Muckypup 1

I used the same amp sim settings on all the guitar tracks, but for the melodies and lead guitar, I added a touch of reverb, chorus and delay.

For the verse section, I used some automation to turn the main rhythm guitars down a bit so you could hear the centre track clearer.

7B was Plankis

Axe-FX, Recto New into one of Wild Hades' recto impulses.
A multiband comp to control the low end a little a la Sneap, maximum gain reduction throughout the whole song is 4db so it really doesn't do anything spectacular.
Then a high pass filter from 100hz.

Solo is Fas modern into a Redwire uberkab impulse, then delay and reverb.

I was gonna vote 6F, but, you forgot to unmute the solo guitars, dude. Seem like he didn't even listen to the bounced tracks so no vote.
I voted 7A

FUUUUUUUU !!! :P

I though I was disqualified and was surprised to see that my clip was here
I made two mixes, and on the second one I forgot to import the lead.. No tracks were muted, it wasn't there at all... sorry
