Once again I want to tell everybody how bad I feel, that my submission caused so much trouble. I really didn't want that.

Congratulations to Greg once more. You deserve the prizes. Have fun with them.

I think everybody will be happy if I promise that I won't even try to take part in any future competition.

Maybe I should start a poll who believes me and who thinks I'm a liar.
I bet 100% will vote for liar.

Yeah thanks to all the sponsors, you rule!

I got Voxengo Elephant and while I'm still experimenting with all the different modes I think it will work pretty well for me as maximizer. I'll also test it on vocals and bass later on.

Are we going to learn the rest of the contestants' chains?

It was not suposed to be a friendly comp seriously?
I can't believe something like that hapen here...

Don't want say more about what I think...

Congrat to Greg

When is there another competition? i missed the second one, in this one there was a lot of similar tones...

I honestly can't remember which one's I actually liked haha. I was just curious since you had posted the info for all of the others.

Edit: 7F would be interesting to see

P-E:

Everything is ITB.

The amp on each track is Poulin Le456, preceded by TSS (Vintage Overdrive).
It then goes into LeCab (with hp/lp : 100/off) with the infamous spreshigh impulse, and then in reverb (for melody guitars and solo guitar) and then in reaper's ping pong delay (for the lead C guitar).

The guitar bus starts with hpflpf plugin (70/11700), then reaEQ (boosted near 1.1k (about 3dB) and high shelf at about 6.8k and up (1.8dB)), then FerricTDS for saturation, then NastyVCS for colouring and saturation and slight EQing, then Reaper's saturation for MORE SATURATION <3, then C4 for taming some low mids as I had some pretty low-mids heavy settings, then ReaEq (dips at 385 and 2.2, -3dB and -6), then CurveEQ (very slight CurveEQing of clouds over california's guitars), then FerricTDS AGAIN, then ReaEQ cutting some high mids again (about 2.7k, boosting some treble (slightly at 6.2k), then going down in a high shelf at 13k, -5dB, finally into ReaEQ again, with a slight cut at 200 (-2.3dB), a slight cut at 4.2k (-5dB) and then, FINALLY a really wide band at 3.0k to make it sharper, 2.6dB, Q 3.47.

Maybe that was more precise than needed, but who knows! :)

7F was me.......

Wow only just saw this post. You're right, 7F was you. Sorry about the confusion!
