Guitar Tone Competition 3: Summary

The guitar tone competition 3 has 70 entries and the competition is sponsored by Brainworx, Voxengo and IK Multimedia

http://www.brainworx-music.de/ and http://www.voxengo.com and http://www.ikmultimedia.com

The winner will get download versions of:

• Brainworx bx_digital V2 Native (no iLok included) mastering quality processor available for both PC and MAC in VST/AU/RTAS
• The winner will also recieve Voxengo Elephant (not-for-resale license) audio mastering limiter available for both PC and MAC in VST/AU
• The winner will also recieve Amplitube 3 guitar effect suite for both PC and MAC in VST/AU/RTAS

But if the winner wishes so, any number of the prizes can be given away to the runner ups, priority starting from the person on the second place and so on.

I think they are recompressing all the song to an higher bitrate than 128kbps

yeah it was mentioned in the round 1 thread, they will recompress the mp3s cause it seems there was some compression artifacts popping up (I wouldn´t know, I didn´t listen to them, arrived in time to read the thread)

yer i listened to my version compared to the first 7 submissions and there was an unbelievable loss of top end on the mp3 compression!

as Anssi had, mark mentioned he got his flat broken into and his computer stolen, so he was redoing everything on another computer, we have only to be patient and it will be back online

Back up and running, 320kbps this time. Decided to just buy a new computer instead of using another old one, and I'm glad I did. Handling 4gb of sound is so much faster on an i3
