FYI also for potential voters to read - do not make multiple accounts to be able to vote more than once etc. - your votes will be disqualified. Same for posting on other sites saying "just go vote for me" etc.

Haven't seen any issues yet, but just posting due to past issues with voting competitions like this.

31 gets my vote. It has the most open sound to me and sounds the most like Blink182 ;)
A bit too harsh in general maybe, but a nice open sound in general.
Amazing how different the guitar tones are this time.

11: Clips, ears hurt
23: WINNER
31: Too Dark
43: Thin, Scooped, not good
54: Still a bit too dark, but better than 31
62: Too much old sql and i hate that scratchy sound
71: Ok, this gets a second place
84: A bit too bright

Cheers!

Voted for 31, though to be honest I'm surprised at how I didn't particularly like any of the finalists. They all seem really fizzy to me (I remember having this problem on my entry aswell to be honest)

31 sounds best to me. Maybe not the best rhythm sound on its own (in the 'intro' it sounds quite dull), but in the mix it still has enough bite and the leads jump out nicely.

11: Rhythms are a bit on the thin side but I think it's partly because the bass is a bit quiet, leads get a bit buried and I can't hear what bass is doing but it feels it's glued pretty well with the guitars. Overall: very nice, but could've used a bit more beef in the lows

23: The rhythms are a bit too buzzy to my taste, the bass is really in your face and growly in a good way and leads are a bit buried here too. Overall: guitars are a bit too beehive'y to my taste but I really like this one

31: Rhythm guitars are a bit dark in a good way to leave room for the leads, but I think the leads are a bit scratchy at some points, bass is supporting the guitars really well but is not very audible. Overall: in the mix every sounds very good and but still missing the "wow" factor

43: The rhythms are really scooped and the leads are a bit buried. The bass is a bit too much in your face in a bad way to my liking. Overall: not my cup of tea.

54: The leads are maybe a bit too thin to my taste, rhythm guitars sound nice and the bass is supporting them really nicely. Overall: I would've loved just a hint more low end overall, otherwise I really like it.

62: The oddball of the finals. Really loud bass and grainy guitars, the chords hit really nicely, but the leads are a bit thin and buried. Overall: It has a very distinctive flavor, and I kinda like it because it's not very similar as all the other tones.

71: Where is the bass? Very guitar orientated mix. Overall: didn't like it, except the leads were very nice.

84: At first this was my favourite, but after listening to all the others, I think the guitars are a bit too buzzy, but the palm mutes and leads sound the best from all the competitors in my opinion. Overall: very nice.

So after going thru my comments I would have to say:

1: 31
2: 84
3: 23
4: 11
5: 54
6: 71
7: 62
8: 43

23, 31 and 84 are the best. I also really 62 for the grindy bass, it is way different than the others. I pick 84 overall for the reasons ahj mentioned. The guitars are a tad buzzy (but less buzzy than 31), but overall I think they work the best.

11 sounds kinda unfinished and meh
23 has great guitars
31 is almost as good as 23
43 has too-filtered-sounding guitars
54 has guitars that fits the mix better (but the backing track is decent but not awesome though), but guitars are not as great as 23/32 IMO
62 is good but not awesome
71 is good
84 is cool

So 23 wins for me, and 31 is a close second.
11 and 43 were kinda meh.
The rest were cool.

It was good to hear something rockish/pop-punkish this time, this is the genre where i dig the guitar tones and it's fun to listen to/work with, but the backing track could have been better.
Thanks for the guys who organized this and the ones who took part in the competition.

Difficult choice. 23 for me, I love its gnarl, clarity and bite, but I like also 84 very much (deeper and groovier).

My top 3:

54: has the most 'natural' overall guitar tone to me. the bass is punchy and well balanced
11: has a nice growl to it, although a bit fizzy. bass is extra balsy.
23: more pronounced but balanced highs that give it a 'rockier' touch.

Funny I would have said the exact opposite, 31 even made the drums sound good to me :) The interaction of the bass with the kick is by far the best of all. Guitar tone is not the best indeed (as ahjteam said it kind of lacks the "wow" factor at first) but overall it's the one where all the elements fit the best to me. Most others are also a bit too metal sounding and grainy considering the style of music I believe although all of them have great qualities.

23 for me as well, it's more "punk-ish" than the others and ultimately suited the song better for me (even if sounding a little harsh at the beginning).
Honorable mentions to 71 and 84; different, smoother vibes but work really well also, more radio-friendly, perhaps?
