Hey guys, I am looking for a good Tuner for my Guitar! Looking to spend around $100 or so. I tune to C#, around that area. Whats a good tuner to get? Rackmount or Pedal, doesnt ENTIRELY matter but a pedal would be cool! Thanks guys!

Good point! Im using it for Studio use. I always (myself and others) try to check tuning between every few quick takes. One day I might go play shows if I find the right band around here but I want it for Studio use. Whats a good one for live use? Also, I get my guitars set up at a shop by my friend Jeremy so now "setup" tuning! TY.

Boss has updated the TU2 to the TU3, it's definitely an improvement. The TU-12 tuners also work well if you need a microphone and/or if you like the analog needle.

If you are willing to spend more the Peterson Stroboflip is pretty unbeatable for studio work at $199.

I love the shit out of my Strobostomp for studio + setup use, never used it live, though. It trained my ear to recognize pitch better than before, and all of my guitars sound infinitely better when tuned on it rather than a cheap Korg or the onboard tuner on my POD (not using sweetened tunings on the Peterson, either).

TC electronic polytune,
forgetting the polyphonic part which is a bit of a quirky feature i never use, its the fastest tracking tuner around, i tried so many before settling on it.
Faster than TU3 and pitchblack, lots of youtube videos to show this, plus it is very fast and accurate at tuning my bass to B - many tuners are weak and erratic at low tuning.

This, use it on my bass, it can detect a low A (dropping the B), great tuner !

We've had the TU2 and now have the TU3 at work. Love them both. Great tuners.

Even had a Pitchblack, didn't get to test it, but only heard good things about it :)

TC Polytune also has onboard upgradable software for different tuning configurations like the soon to be released drop tuning upgrade.
No other tuner is upgradable like this
