I really like the band and was wondering when is the new album due and any info about it, any chance you'll return to the pure death/doom sound in the first albums?

The new album should be out by the end of next year possibly sooner. It's gonna be heavier and a little faster than the previous works but it's not gonna lose any "Novembers Doom sound" to it. We already have 4 songs completed for a pre production demo we made a couple of months back. Coming from a fan prospective as well as a band member, I must say I think it's some of the best work the band has done to date. As far as returning to an Amid.. sound I dont think the rest of the album is gonna come out like that, there way be parts that may have that sound you never what comes out in writing until it comes out. I'm sure you will not be dissapointed though.

Thanks for the inquiry. I don't think it's likely that we'll ever return to that dirge-like 'AMID...' sound, though there will always be slow heavy moments here and there. It's pretty much a different band than it was back in 1992-94, when that cd was written. I love that stuff but Paul and I feel like it's sort of "been there, done that" now, and we like to forge ahead trying new things. We get alot of criticism for not being so slow and heavy anymore, but then again I know that if we went back to that sound, we'd get criticised by some people for that as well. So we're better off just doing what we want to do, at least we make ourselves happy and hopefully a few others along the way.

The new cd will definitely be one of our heaviest cds though, if not in a slow dirge-y way, then just overall vibe. You'll see

And as for the slowness, I'm not the fan of slow but when I first heard the opening riff to Aurora's Garden I was just shocked, hypnotizing album
