happy thanksgiving everybody

On one hand, I don't like half of the traditional Thankgiving foods, the cheap wine was crap, and I had to wake up early.

On the other hand, beer took the place of wine, I didn't cook, the Lions actually won the game (I don't follow sports, but whatever, I was entertained), and my family is great (even though they're a buncha squares).

Yeah, twas nice. Happy Turkey Day!

(P.S. Turkey is so passe... Those pilgrims need to start eating steaks or spaghetti or something next year.)

we made our own dinner on wednesday which included a small turkey roast, chestnut cornbread stuffing, bosc pears in a red wine caramel sauce (AWESOME), sweet potatoes w/ bananas and pecans, fresh cranberries, and wine. then the parents' houses, which had all the regular bland food. i am so bloated right now.

(avi, ever try Leonardini Asti? not bad, and only like $8 a bottle)
