I think Immortal's Battles in the North is the most fucking brutal album I've ever heard. That thing does not let up from beginning to end (except for a little on the last track; not for long, though). Check it, yo.

Everybody I talk to when I say I listen to death and black metal, they say "Oh, the really heavy stuff" and I think it's not that bad soundwise or anything that makes me freak out like you're likely referring , I guess my ears have got used to it.

not so much me...Reign in Blood sounds cool an' all but there are tons more metal out there that definitely have the potential of breaking my fucking neck with all the brutal head banging

Nah they are so close, it just depends on my mood. If I want it harder and faster, or softer but more fun.
