Has any one lost respect for Nile, Behemoth, Amon Amarth etc?!?

i have done extensive trips around Jersey ... coastline, mainland, Sopranoland, strip malls ... and there is really not much to make the state stand out ...
those Jersey sucks stories are true ... someone please point me to a location in the state the is great.

heck, even Atlantic City which has a lot of potential is patchy ... although I read plans for 3 new Vegas style mega resorts coming to town

While I shat on their latest release and live show, I would by lying if I said that I wasn't somewhat intrigued by their upcoming.

due on September 30 via Metal Blade Records.

"Twilight of the Thunder God" was recorded at Fascination Street Studio in Örebro, Sweden and features "10 tracks of AMON AMARTH's menacing battle metal replete with swarming riffs and searing percussion that provides a monolithic backdrop for vocalist Johan Hegg's wracked howls and lyrics rife with Nordic mythology," according to a press release. Known for seamlessly combining the key attributes of death, black and power metal to create "fantasy-fueled sonic mayhem," AMON AMARTH (Elven-speak for “mountain of doom” in Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings") has eclipsed its previous efforts with "Twilight of the Thunder God", creating an album that places the band amongst metal's elite.

"Twilight of the Thunder God" features several high-profile guest appearances including ENTOMBED singer L.G. Petrov (on "Guardians of Asgaard"), CHILDREN OF BODOM guitarist Roope Latvala (who shreds a fierce solo on the track "Twilight of the Thunder God") and Finnish cello metal band APOCALYPTICA (a guest appearance on "Live For The Kill").

"Twilight of the Thunder God" track listing:
01. Twilight of the Thunder God
02. Free Will Sacrifice
03. Guardians of Asgaard
04. Where is Your God?
05. Varyags of Miklagaard
06. Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags
07. No Fear for the Setting Sun
08. The Hero
09. Live for the Kill
10. Embrace of the Endless Ocean

A limited edition 3 disc bonus dvd/cd set will be gracing Euro shores.

Put this down as a dled and see.

ill buy it. ive enjoyed everything sans The Crusher. admittedly i dont listen to them often though.

awesome cover art

anyone else not watch those shitty bonus DVDs? give me demos or rare tracks any day.

in answer to the thread: more like lost interest.

Behemoth and Nile went down the shitter,

Amon Amarth... eh... the new one has 2 good tracks and they're still fun live? Otherwise they've gone the Corporate Viking way.

Crazy awesome cover art on that album, and when did metal albums start featuring guest artists like every other LL Cool J release?
Is LL Cool J on this as well? It would be cool to hear him lay down some old school Norse rap.

Yo, yo, yo... Odin in the houuussse.

The church, the church, the church is on fire. We don't need no water let the infidels burn...

Peace... out.

I gotta say, I love the new Amon Amarth album. Seems that with each release, with the exception of the boring Fate of Norns, they get catchier and more fist-pumpingly anthemic.
