I hadn't thought about it being here longer.

Opeth are my favourite band of all of those here, but it surprises me that they're 'bigger' than, say, Anathaema.

A growing and dedicated following that through the relative freedom/lack of moderation present has allowed many conversations to become long-winded, going on many wonderful tangents. And the band is good, too.

The Opeth forum was one of the first hosted ones... around the same time as Blaze and after Maiden Downunder forum had been around for awhile, methinks. Definately the most popular...

the reason why this forum is so popular is that it's endorsed by opeth.com. anyone who checks out the official opeth site is encouraged to make their way over here.

i suppose it probably also could have something to do with opeth being the best band hosted and all...
