Has anyone used a firebox for direct out?

I have a decision to either get a countryman DI box and run it into my M-audio duo interface or buy a firebox for the same price as the countryman. The most important thing for me right now is DI. How does the firebox preamps and DI match up with a countryman running through a Duo (i think its a pos).

Well I assume the DI in the firepod and the firebox are the same, and I've achieved some tones that I'm very happy with through the firepod DI, so I don't think it's by any means bad, but a countryman would no doubt be a step up.

The Firebox DI sounds like asshole, as does the Firepod DI ( Unavailable, seriously, get a better DI, the FP DI Is awful ). Go for the countryman, definitely.

I have a countryman. All I'm saying is that they'll do the job, and there will be no issue getting a good tone from them.
