I heard this band back when their "Wish I Could Dream It Again" cd came out. Loved it. Never heard anything again until a few years later with Classica. I now have all of their releases except for Dream D'Anzur, or whatever it is... It's basically re-recorded versions of songs on that first cd. I need to hear it.

Anyways, any thoughts on this band?

i have a song by them on my computer ('homing' or 'homecoming' or something like that) and it's fucking awesome. so, based on this one song, my current view on novembre is that they are an excellent band and all of their songs are this good.

Agreed to an extent. Throw in some Katatonia and Anathema, and you've got a band from Italy that is quite good.

I don't think Novembre sounds that similar to Opeth, as Josh pointed out they draw more from the heavy melancholy of bands like Katatonia, although with a greater amount of heaviness and some progressive stylings...

Just gotta do a little digging. I found their 2nd one on eBay, grabbed it for $27 plus shipping.

Classica and Novembrine Waltz you can get from Century Media.

I found their first album on cd for $3.99 at a local used cd store.
