Because, well, a lot of my snobby big bottles I enjoy, I happen to do so at room temperature (which equates to warm in So. Califuckia). Any takers? Brits, I'm looking in yer direction right now. :loco:

Drinking this right now:

It's good! It's warm!

Before anyone balks, let me just tell you to start with a stout. Generally speaking, a cold stout brings out a certain harshness that kills the undertones of that style beer. I used to chill my stouts and porters for about 30 minutes, then pour, but now I just take them out of the cupboard. Really brings the flavoUr out quite nice.

Oh yeah and no fucking way would I drink an IPA anything but ice cold, I'm not a freak.

I realized last night that Samuel Smith's India Ale is probably in my top 3 beers ever now.

I do like warm beer though. I normally empty a bottle into a pan and let it simmer on low heat for about 12 minutes. On occasion I'll poach an egg. :loco:

Thing is, you can't drink bitter when it's ice cold (or cold period). It HAS to be room temperature -- I don't care whether it's a Tetley's or Boddington's.

I never had one warm beer in the UK or Ireland. I think its pretty much a myth, as room temperture over there is relatively non-warm.

Yeah, "warm beer" simply means "room temperature" as opposed to refrigerated or iced. It's not "heated" or anything like that.

Room temperature in the UK is pretty mild -- it's not a warm country by any means, and neither is it arid. In fact, the UK has an extremely "wet" atmosphere, one that you can feel in your bones.

It's also why the UK is exceptionally green. The landscape looks fucken lush, hence the expressions about an "English country garden" etc.

Honestly, if you guys can ever make it out to an old town like Oxford and drink English ale in an English country garden....just a great time to be had. Drinks are on me! EDIT: If I were there with you, of course. :loco:

I've seen this beer in a store by me. It's got the most Metal label of all beers. While I don't like many of the beers I've tried, I've recently developed quite a fondness for Guiness.

fucking warm beer makes me want to puke [/blue velvet moment]

Ever notice how Dennis Hopper always place creepy ass guys in movie? He is the stock "nut."

As far as beer, oh man, I remember getting a Lienenkugel's "Creamy Dark" and hated it when it was cold, but after trying it warm, it was a totally different story. Other than that I haven't tried enough to really give that much to this thread. I fucking HATE warm lagers though. Mr. Hopper knows best.

Btw, wtf is an "Imperial Stout" or "IPA"?

Keep 'em coming NADICLES.

Dude, I never understood why people really like Guinness. There are MUCH better stouts out there. If you can find over there, get a Goose Island Oatmeal Stout. It is the bomb. Rich flavor and gets you trashed soon thereafter. Basically breakfast in a bottle. :kickass:

I've always been a big fan, of getting lots of head.

I'll look for it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Hehe, hey nad, that beer you're drinking, Trois-Pistoles, well Trois-Pistoles is a town not so far from where I live, my aunt lives there actually. I used to drink this beer a lot some years ago but I got tired of it. The brewery producing that beer is Quebecer.

Edit: Btw, my choice for warm beer is Laurentide :kickass:

I agree that's a metal beer label -- if you're a fan of Roy Khan and the new Evergrey album.

However, if you like Hammers of Misfortune, Destroyer 666, and Omen's "Battle Cry", you might want to sip on this:

The story behind the label is coming from a legend associated with the town - Trois-Pistoles, and a horse said to be pure evil.
