In a way they are like SW, but think about something wild and cross it with the most pissed-off foreign punk singer you can think of... -that's- the new vocal style. And he sings in a higher voice than ever, sometimes very high. But he also sings in a lower voice in a couple parts.

to me the vocals are more cleans, and I don't agree with you bodomite, it seems (at least to me) different of the others albums.

yeah the whole album is more aggressive than the earlier ones by music and singing. I think alexi sings better than before
