He Is Legend-It Hates You

i totally agree this album rocks. they recorded alot of it outside in the woods of their friends studio too.

this is the best video clip ever, period.

edit: crappy mono one side audio quality on it though, but cool song too!

I haven't liked anything they did really since "I Am Hollywood". I really was into that album for a while, then totally lost the joy when their second album came out, and every time I go back to the first CD, I am vividly reminded of why I liked them so much before. It doesn't help that their singer went from good clean vocals to "I started smoking way too much" clean vocals.

Funny story- there's a club in Seattle called El Corazon, where one of the exit doors is right on the corner of the building and is right on a street corner. The singer of He Is Legend was standing out there talking to a few fans after their set (my singer included), and the door swings open. It's Mr. John Pettibone (Himsa vocalist), who works security at the club. He's holding the singer's mic stand, which is all decorated with dangling hippie scarfs and fabric and whatnot. Pettibone bellows "Here's your gay stand", puts the mic stand down, and goes right back into the club, slamming the door behind him

Have you listened to the new cd? He still a little raspy, but a lot better than "Suck Out The Poison" (though I dig the shit out of that cd). I can't imagine he was ever comfortable singing like he did on "I Am Hollywood".

"I Am Hollywood" was the shit! I need to get this new one and check it out.

I am Hollywood was fucking FANTASTIC. When that came out (2004/05?) I listened to it at least 5 times every day for a month (seriously) because I was working non-stop for my degree finals.

You were in the band for a while weren't you Kyle?

these guys have never done a bad album. Their first album 91025 is fucking amazing. It has alot of the I am Hollywood sound. But Suck out the Poison was completely different but just as good and well written. And if you've never heard it their version of "Fancy" by Reba Mcentire is really good.

Got the album yesterday. Listened to it 4 times today already.

Anyone else think the drums sound like the Slate black album kit? Not the snare though
