Heathen Crusade III Pledge Thread;

RedStream have it.

Their description by the way of "If you are looking for cold & fast nordic Black Metal don't miss Angantyr" is just plain wrong. This not about icy blastbeats © , this is mid-paced heathen atmosphere filled to the brim with pagan melodies and skimpy nighties.

I'm not reading all this.

What's the story?

In a nutshell, HC needs our support to be able to continue to survive. I was a sponsor last year and tried to think of a way to expand on the idea to be able to give even more and a "pledge drive" was formed spotlighting the urgency of the situation. Since many of us (myself included) feel it's the greatest extreme metal festival going in the U.S. today, we want to do everything in our power as a community to help out and so far we're up to the amount I quoted above.

We're also all anxiously awaiting word from Mister Mayhem and kupshi on what's actually going to happen.

If we receive word that the festival is indeed continuing, I volunteered to collect the funds most likely via Paypal to make it easy for everyone and then remit in bulk to the promoters accordingly.

I'm halfway through the FIRST thread, and I'm crying that I didn't go. What the fuck was I thinking? :crying or :very sad

I think I saw Helvetekrieg at the Katatonia show the other day in NYC, but couldn't really tell because the waistline and navel region was not exposed. At that point, she might as well have been wearing a bhurka.
