Heaviest Opeth Song

you cant really say.... you can divide it into riffs...

most chaotic: 5:50 in drapery falls
most sludgy: opening to masters apprentices
most evil sounding: 1:15 in funeral portrait

but i have to say overall, its demon of the fall for me... mainly the mikael with cold vocals :)

Another vote for Blackwater Park....the last six or so minutes of that song are some of the heaviest riffs ever recorded, IMO. And not heavy in the sense of lots of distortion, and extremely loud--the riffs themselves just sound so HUGE and thick, you can't help but start to headbang or air-drum!

i know what you mean

and the riffs sound so damn mean!

Blackwater Park... If only Lopez had the same sound on the bass drum as in Deliverance it would be even heavier

Demon of the Fall is incredible. A wonderfully heavy song.

Master's Apprentices, The Funeral Portrait and The Amen Corner are pretty heavy as well, and all 3 are hugely slayful.
