Nidr Ok Nordr Liggr Helvegr is AWESOME. You can get it re-released on brown 12'' vinyl with some bonus tracks, I highly reccomend it!

I didn't much care for it at all. The first 2 albums are where it's at, and "Blod & Ild" ain't too shabby.

Like I said, I'm definitely enjoying it, but it's just fairly straightforward thrash/death metal-lite with some viking/folk themes throughout. I thought I had remembered you speaking of their early stuff as viking metal classics.

Yeah, the first two ARE classics and are much more akin to Enslaved or something, much faster and bm-esque with folk influences and stuff.

terrorveldet is basically just a taster EP for the third album which is where the change happened. it is kinda like the new one in style but has better songs imo

That's actually what I'm doing. I created this giant spreadsheet of all my albums, I'm trying to finally gain an accurate inventory of what I have, what I don't have, what I can get rid of, etc.
I've run out of CD storage space and could easily get rid of 40% of my CDs without ever missing them. Thus, a goal is born.
