Reign in blood is better but if hell awaits was given an overhaul it could be up there with it as its a very clever record,quite intricate.

the only way they can overhaul hell Awaits is to see them play it live....
But by far Reign is the better album

They are both AMAZING albums! I prefer RIB, but not by much!

FOR A LONG TIME I THOUGHT HELL AWAITS WAS BETTER BUT I CAME TO REALLY APPREICIATE REIGN IN BLOOD AND NOW ID HAVE TO SAY IT IS MY FAVORITE.

hmm. hell awaits has great songs, but my pick is RiB. it's such a classic album, with much better production. the songs, sans AoD and RB were concise, yet incredible. reign in blood owns me.

HELL AWAITS!!! More evil, more fun....kill,kill,kill.... Reign is probably the best metal album ever, but I like Hell Awaits more. Yea RIB is faster, and harder...H/a is certainlly heavier. More macabe lyrics.Both great. The wifey grabs RIB first, me H/A. They do both get daily play STILL!!!
