Okay gear is:
Sonar 6
Schecter Omen 6
Digitech RP155 as my DI box???

Im using SoloC and 8505 w/Catharsis's Impulses, I hear everyone getting AWESOME tones, I load up soloc fiddle with its knobs and load an impulse and I get fuzzy/digitalized tone?

Boogex - you gotta bring down the amplifier controls to 0. [Tone, drive and dynamics]
KeFir - You gotta play with the length. Bring it down to 0.01sec/2%, mix to 100% and gain to 'duh'.

Edit:
Quad = Four. So you play four tracks as tightly as possible, pan them 100-80-80-100.

I suggest that you take a day off and go through all the useful threads.

when you say "duh", what do you mean

you guys sure that its not because of my gear?

i mean i do have my regular stock mobo's soundcard, no interface, I'm using the digitech rp155's usb out to record guitar DI...

Yeah I'm gonna say getting some decent gear would help you out... interface with a decent pre and a nice DI box for starters

hmm so do you guys think i should keep the rp155 or return it? I mean the only purpose it servers are less than sub par recordings that i can do solo improv over

Ack, isn't that just one of those two-pedal multi-FX processors? Definitely return it if you can, get a good interface, and get all your tone from ampsims on your computer!

Troll or lack of lurk

...

Omen pickups aren't the greatest, but I blame your interface. Also keep in mind most clips on here are heavily processed and EQed.

stick to just eq'ing guitars
and even then, don't eq guitars at all until youve got raw tones that sit nicely in a mix

i like my omen 7, plays beautifully
them stock pickups are pretty rank sounding though
