HELP installing EMGs on Gibson LP Gothic

Hey,

I just bought a emg zakk wylde set to install on my gibson Les Paul Gothic but the diagrams that are at the instalations notes seems don't cover this model cus on diagram 1 (gibson Les Paul April 1975 and later) the picture dosen't show all the cables from 3 way switch, on diagram 1 there are 4 cables from the cable switch and my guitars brings 5 (green one) that I don´t know what to do with him. I inserted a picture from the back to see what I'm saying. Plus in the installation manual there seems to have a mistake at 9 point (There is a small black wire included with the system to ground the two volume control casings together....) but on the diagram this black wire is conected to the 2 tone controls, I don't know which one is correct.

Help please

I only see 4 from the switch? Green, Red, Black, and White?

The green is the 'hot' from the switch - this goes to the output jack.

The black is the ground from the switch - this goes to any common ground point.

The red wire connects the bridge pickup and it's volume/tone knob to the switch (assuming you're lower 2 knobs are bridge controls, upper 2 are neck controls)

The white wire connects the neck pickup and it's volume/tone knob to the switch.

Looks to me like both black and the bare wire are grounds.

In that case where can I connect them?

The back of a volume pot or tone pot, like where the shield is connected to right now, only on the EMG's pot.

I had a dream about putting EMGs in a Les Paul last night. Freaky... and it's something I've never attempted.

I don't really have that much info to give, but I played a Goth SG once and the neck on that thing was like the boner of God. It was fucking awesome.
