I haven't mentioned it here, but I'm getting married in September.

So I need a song list for the wedding/reception. As an attempt to start some action around here, I want you guys to help me pick the songs*!

In your responses I need the artist, the name of the song, and a reason as to why you'd think it would be a suitable song for my wedding.

Go.

*I'll read 'em but pretty much all of your suggestions will be ignored.
:)

Whatever you do, don't put "You're All I Need" by Motley Crue on the list just because you think the title is romantic, like my older brother did. He didn't know the song but found it on Spiff's PC. Once it started playing at the reception, hilarity ensued (at least for me and Spiff, the only ones who knew the song:)).

The blade of my knife
Faced away from your heart
Those last few nights
It turned and sliced you apart
This love that I tell
Now feels lonely as hell
From this padded prison cell

So many times I said
You'd only be mine
I gave my blood and my tears
And loved you cyanide
When you took my lips
I took your breath
Sometimes love's better off dead

You're all I need, make you only mine
I loved you so I set you free
I had to take your life
You're all I need, you're all I need
You're all I need, And I loved you so
But you didn't love me
Laid out cold, Now we're both alone
But killing you helped me keep you home
I guess it was bad
Cause love can be sad
But we finally made the news

Yeah I can see what you mean. :)

Congrats, Mr Cooper. :) If you're going to ignore 'em anyway I might as well suggest Love is a Fist by Mr. Bungle and (Love is) A Bitchslap by Sebastian Bach.

Don't play Every Breath You Take by The Police. Apparently lots of tools have played that at weddings, obviously without listening to the lyrics first.
