im trying to connect my vetta to my maudio fast track pro via spdif... its not working out. could it be because im using an rca cable instead of a spdif cable? i only read about that after i got my rca cable(ive got 14 days to return it if needs be) cheers.
Yes it needs to be an actual SPDIF cable. Regular RCA cables don't have the proper shielding or impedance. So your jitter and noise will be so bad that it will never sync.
nah im in australia. in a big country town. 200km away from the most remote capital city in the world. i tried a few local stores with no luck. im just gonna order them online, looks like they're cheaper online.
so i noticed that spdif only come in single connector, not double like rca. do you need to have the in and the out connected or does that depend on what you're doing?
Yes. It has to be clocked to S/pdif. Usually there is some sort of indication (a blinking led, a led changes color, a new led lights up etc...) that you have changed the clock.
