Help, routing MIDI outputs in Cubase

I have 2 Midi tracks and the out is set to a VST Synth.
Now I have 2 presets in that Synth and I want preset 1 to run with the first MIDI track and preset 2 to run with the other.

There is an option "prg" and it shows me both presets but when I switch that option to the other preset it changes this setting in both channels like they are connected to each other, in other words I cannot change one preset individually without the other jumping with it.

How can I create multiple MIDI tracks without running more than one VST instrument for it?

No how. Just add another instance of that VSTi

You can't do it if you need them to play at the same time. Then you have to add another instance of the VSTi, just like ahjteam said.

If you want to change the sound in different parts of the track, you can do that by automating the program change parameter on the midi track.

If the instrument is multi timbral then you just set each to a different output midi ch. My guess is no though, so just load more than one instance.
