i'd go with #3, although #2 would be the clear winner if:

a.) there wasn't the partial nudity thing. i think a lot of people would shy away from that, and i guess the purpose is to sell shirts. maybe you should do it anyway, BUT

b.) i think that design will only work with black or a deep blue with a lighter ink.

i guess C wins. it also sort of matches the style you may or may not have been establishing with motW and other various asst misc etc et al misc et al

i think we were going to go ahead and try a very small run of white on black just as our first go, though. The white on black looks very HC/punk, as some others put it.

I'm alone in my preference for number 2...I think it's a powerful image, and it has the coolest band logo of the three. But the third does suit the abstract element prevalent in the music...

toby, i think you want to be careful with the white on black thing, although i'm not implying that your sound guy is anything less than capable.

i just know that it is a risk and wouldn't recommend it if you're thinking of sinking some cash into this.

I couldn't find a good orange hue. Then I remembered there isn't such a hue. Please don't do orange. It's so damn fashionable here in Israel (or was, last year). The huge orange display almost desensitised me towards it, but I continue to loath it.
