Ok i m editing my question so i can be more specific

I have an avalon 737sp and i have a m-audio firewire 1814 card, both have intrusment input ( DI ). ( i also have a little labs PCP distro that i have to get back from a friend ).
i want to record optimum DI guitar tracks ( with what i have ) for reamping and amp sims. what should i do ?
Avalon to 1814 ?
pcp to 1814?
or 1814 directly?

I was wondering if the avalon tubes were making any improvement on the DI sound.
The guitar is a PRS Custom 24

Any advice is welcome !
regards
J.

The 1814 or the PCP seems to be the safest method considering that the Avalon may saturate your signal a bit. Typically, people don't want that.
Why don't you try A/B-ing it? See what you like best.
