I can understand what you're saying, but how does anything about Hessian Peel sound happy? To me, it's pretty bleak, especially when the orchestration kicks in. Then, this A Fair Judgement-ish riff, and the end of the soft part. I can't think of any way to think of it as happy, so please, would you care to explain that?
Also, I don't believe the transition is bad at all. Remember, there is a short buildup by bass and keys. It's quick, maybe it should have been longer, but I think it's part of what makes this song so interesting. It's like a thunder out of nowhere. Very nice and cool to maintain interest.
