Call it pot luck. Last few things you sent my way were Hammers, Manes, and Wolverine.

It's been a while.... what else have you got up your sleeve?

:loco: Yep, I'm very much looking forward to it.

Did you ever listen to I (their EP from last year)? It's only 21 minutes and you should give it a shot, if anything just to hear some of the most unique guitar solos in the history of music. :)

As far as something you would like, JayKeeley? Hmmm . . . I don't really have anything new for you.

However, I'll try pushing these again. I think you would like them both, but I'm not sure if they will be a hit or not.

Hearse - Armaggedon Mon Amour (melodic death n roll is the easy way to sum them up, but they are more like a death metal version of Iron Maiden.)

Damnation - Destructo Evangelia (grim, old-school black metal . . . the songs on this album are just excellent.)

I will always recommend Buckethead 'Colma' to anybody interested in non-metal, soothing, sorrowful music. This is the most beautiful album ever made, in my opinion. A lot of personal feelings accompany this album, so I might be biased.

Actually, those guitar solos are a direct rip-off of Alan Holdsworth. He's a pioneer of electric jazz fusion. I'm sure Meshuggah would gladly admit to ripping him off, though. Meshuggah has taken all they've learned and made it their own, though.

I've heard the name about a thousand times, guess I should check him out. Actually I hear some Robert Fripp in those I solos, but either way they are pretty amazing.

I have to admit, I've been intrigued by what I've read. I suppose I should check out some samples. The only thing that's kept me at bay is Livva, but I should give it a chance.

The descriptions you find on the web don't do the album justice. It was top 10 2004 for me, and I don't like much of the melodic death stuff. Melodic death metal just isn't what Hearse is all about. Livva's vocals are just perfect for the album. Lots of cool twin guitar stuff and all that. It seriously is a total Iron Maiden worship band, but they do it perfectly. I think Terrorizer gave it 9/10, simply because they are original and they conjure up such great Iron Maiden-like vibes. It's just one of those fun albums to listen to. Sort of like Manes is for me . . .
