hey Shannow!!!

xena,
due yesterday, but nothing seems to be happening quickly.

We thought it was happening a week ago, when we had spontaneous cleaning of the laundry, and waking up in the middle of the night to clean the toilet.

We're in the "one day at a time phase"...the suspense is aweful.

Was a big long day, but at 3:47 this afternoon, Connor came out to great the world (and a shattered Mum, who had been working against an immovable object for about 7 hours).

The midwives here are pretty good, avoiding an epidural and "assisted" delivery by making some positions changes of a very cranky and tired woman to get things lined up and "whammo" there he was.

8lb 4Oz, 56cm long, and 35cm head.

(Sorry Coops, "Cooper" was in the running for a while, but our two year old decided that he was Connor).

CONNOR MACLEOD STYLE?

HE IS CONNOR MACLEOD OF THE CLAN MACLEOD.

Highlander rools.

Congratulations!

He's a biggun \m/

thanks guys, they are coming home this afternoon...let the madness begin !!!

ceydn, you only just reminded me of Connor McLeod...kewl.
Kem, my excuse is that I have not seen neighbours in decades.

Back to smelly nappies and sleepless nights for the both of you.
We are about 9 weeks away from all that or if I have my way and be induced early 7 weeks.
I already feel too big and sick of the aching back, un able too get comfy and feeling like I am being attacked from the inside.

Yeah, the last few weeks that we had were like an alien trying to tunnel into my side while we were trying to sleep...dunno what the other half felt like, as it was prety intense one body removed.

As to smelly nappies, honestly breast feeding is wonderful with regard to nappies. Formula reeks. Solids take it one step further.

Best of luck

Well I had a clinic appointment today. My little darling has actually fully turned early and I tell you the feeling of the head constantly moving against my pelvis and back is killing me,as well as constant kicking in the ribs. can't wait for it to be outta there. The mid wife told me today whilst she was feeling the position she could tell she is an active little thing. Then the heartbeat was counted as a very strong one.She predicts it will be a constantly hungry one.
I plan on breast feeding so good to know the smell won't be so bad.

Xena,
Rhiannon was getting breast milk until she was 18 months old, when she decided that it wasn't for her.

Miles easier than bottles (except for the occasional prude). No heating, no sterilising etc. and over a grand a year in formula.

Found out yesterday that our obstetrician dude (and his better half) work in Katoomba as well as Lithgow.

We were pretty impressed when things started to look wierd that the doctor took usto the radiology section and performed an ultrasound to see what was going on.
