PS - Deadboy & The Elephantmen fucking rule. Dax's best performance yet, and that is saying something!!! It's not new at all either but I think they are working on a new album if I am not mistaken.

they came out with an EP recently (song mechanism) which I haven't heard yet, but yeah another album is in the works

edit: well actually songs from the EP are on the site, so I've heard part of it...

c'mon guys .. NEBULA

"let it burn" or "dos EPs" are great choices

Eddie Glass is a stoner rock god

also, Lowrider - Ode To Io is a totally underappreciated album

those albums seem to be along the vein of what you're looking for, fuzzed out songs about drugs, space, and hotrods

and this thread is just going to be a complete duplicate list of the last stoner rock thread

SPIRITUAL BEGGARS - AD ASTRA
BEST ALBUM OF THE 00S DAMMIT!1@!@!

This is complete BULLSHIT. that album is good at best, mostly just ok. There's MUCH better rock (stoner or otherwise) out there!

i'd even take On Fire or the s/t over Ad Astra, unless I listen to it again and have some kind of profound revelation as to it having a lot of awesome riffs and ingenious ideas that I just happened to not hear the last few times i listened to it.

Thats the truth, and you should hope it will be revealed to you

Here we go. It is a pretty cool album, I just found some of the songs to be very bland and a lot of the riffs to be nothing too special. But songs like "left brain ambassadors" ... nothing wrong with that!

Well what do ya know? it's better than i remembered! i still think 'best of the 00s' is a stretch though, but to each his own! you're not the only one who says that either, eh?

I liked that quite a bit, thanks for making me go back to it! I like the dirtier sound of the s/t, i'll have to check that one out again too.

Yeah, I think NAD would go BANANAS over that release too.
i think if you scroll up you'll notice that no, no i don't. :dopey:

first time i heard the first track of ad astra, i thought it was the shit. listened to it like 5 more times and thought "whoa, that faded fast." then i listened to the rest of the album and didn't see what the big deal was. it's perfectly okay and i might give it another chance, but i mean to say that album is incredible when bands like UNIDA exist(ed)? come on!

d'ohkay.

d'oh yeah, so i picked up the new clutch and the first song is about his camaro being stolen so that's pretty much exactly what i'm looking for. i haven't had a chance to listen to the whole album yet but i can tell i'll really like it.

also, solace - thirteen. fuck shit piss fart that's a good album.
