hey somebody tell me a classic stoner album.

I'm playing in this band now where my main influences are Kyuss and QOTSA, the other guys are really into old U2, Rush, not to mention all sorts of other stoner/doom. It should be interesting! Hopefully we'll have some recorded material in the not-so-distant future.

so this here clutch band is pretty farkin good yah?

where does robot hive / exodus lie in the grand scheme of things clutch? because i listened to it all the way through and all i know is when an album starts off with a line like STOLE MY CAMARO! PRIMER GRAY! i'm in rock n' fuckin' roll heaven.

yeah starts with that and ends with blues covers = <3<3<3<3

favorite clutch albums vary quite a bit it seems, because each one has its own thing going on

everyone agrees s/t is a classic

imo robot hive/exodus is the 2nd best thing they've done

you might want to check out Blast Tyrant as well, it has a heavy stoner rock vibe going the whole way

and as I said in that other thread where clutch was talked about, between the s/t and Blast Tyrant the quality it pretty spotty ... though J. convinced me of the awesomeness of Elephant Riders.. and its really growing on me.

Yep, the self-titled is a classic. You'll love it. "I have the Body of John Wilkes Booth!!!!!!!!" :kickass:

I love ELephant Riders as well. Blast Tyrant hasn't done much for me, and Pure Rock Fury is spotty, but when it's on, it's fucking on.

Don't bother with Transnational Speedway League or anything before it.

just get the self-titled and Elephant Riders and if you still can't get enough, go with Blast Tyrant and Pure Rock Fury.
