hey urban, mind sharing some of your influences (and maybe some other members)

Let's make it a bit more interesting. If you all put your heads together and produce a list or just a general consensus as to what you think my, (or the whole band's), influences are. I will be more than happy to tell you what I believe my influences are. I think quite a few of you have more than just a vague idea so it shouldn't be too hard. If not more interesting for you it will at least make it alot more fun for me. :D

You forgot Uriah Heep.

Wouldn't be too surprised if Ronnie James Dio and David Coverdale are huge influences on the vocal part. Has any of you guys ever heard of the Dutch band Wicked Mystic? Their singer Remko Roes sounds exactly like Urban Breed on a couple of songs!

There are two great singers :worship: ....... and they sounds very much like each other...... URBAN BREED & DIO !!! :headbang:

Impressive! You've either got some memory or have the very good habit to make a search before guessing. :) Anyway, I must say that you've all got a fair idea as to what I've been listening to over the years. Not all of which I listen to that much today but I bet they are they reason why I listen to and create music the way I do today. The bands that got me hooked on metal to begin with was Judas Priest, Saxon and Iron Maiden. Not necessarily in that order. Between the lot of you you produced quite an impressive list with just a few bands I never really got into for some reason. Rather than giving you the full list I'll do you a favor and just list the bands not on MY list, ok? :)

Blind Guardian -Don't like the vocals.
Led Zeppelin -Love their better moments
which amounts to about 1 song on each album ...at best.
Overkill -Never heard
Fates Warning -Never heard! That's what I always say.
It's kind of a running joke in the band because we all know
I heard them, I just can't remember what they sound like
from one time to the other :)
Anthrax (older) -I listened to one album once and decided the production
was awful and I never did like the singer much.
Funny band though.
Alcatrazz -Graham Bonnet? No, never!
Thin Lizzy -Not really, but I see why people like them
Riot -Could have been if I had run a cross an album at the time.
Montrose -Still know precious little about them.
Scorpions -well, err... not realy, but they do have their good moments.

...and Imagicafan I'm impressed! How'd you know Jethro Tull is a long time favorite? I might add that I enjoy almost all eras too.

in this case it was my memory.
the search function actually has been disabled recently....very much to my dismay I may add (although lots of ppl tended to ignore that feature entirely anyway)

Urban I am not good at kissing people's asses. You sound a little in between Tony Martin, Dio and Mike Howe, but nothing really like any of them. In other words, you sound like Urban. You are in my top five of vocalists of all-time, and you might be the best frontman I have ever seen live......... I still think you can do better.

As far as the band........ Peter comes close to being elite as far as technical wizardry. Christer and Daniel know how to play together and are an arsenal together and let's not forget Anders.

As far as influences................. which is your question.... I could barely guess. Accept, Metal Church, Black Sabbath ?

I know that you (Urban) area Ronnie Dio fan. I can hear it, but I think you sound a little more like Martin. Just my opinion.

Tony Martin ruullllleeesssss!!!!!! Yeah, I forgot about mentioning Mike Howe, Urban reminds me of him alot. So basically, in the event that Tony Martin and Mike Howe had a baby, it would be Urban. :loco:

As far as frontman goes....DAVID COVERDALE!!!! Need I say more....yet Urban is real good too.
