Laney VH100R. Marshall 2x12, loaded with T75's. SM57-Beta and Rode M3. I inverted the phase of the Rode M3 and it just sounded a bit fuller.

No EQ or compression or anything here. Just normalized each region and phase inverted the Rode M3 channels. Then exported.

Is this a good hard-rock tone?

Seems like a very solid sounding tone to me.

Hmm. I kind of like it. But it doesn't sound high-gain enough to me, and you wouldn't believe how shit the Rode M3 sounds on its own - really thin, no body at all. I think I'm effectively using it to cancel out a range of frequencies in the other microphone track.
