Holy crap. So who here likes Hammers, Asunder, and Slough Feg?

Come on, you can't seriously make that sort of judgement based on a phone camera recording on youtube of their first ever warm up appearance with the new line up? Give them some credit here, it's not like they're auditioning for you. Jeez, I would have given my left arm to see this show, especially with the new line up.

The basis of my complaints (And by no means was I calling them as bad as you're making it out I said I was), were:
A) They're definitely not a cell phone recording. MUCH better quality.
B) I could hear clearly Pat Goodwin's voice in the recordings, and I did not like it. It just didn't strike me as a voice to replace Scalzi's.
C) I will give it to ya that the bootlegs WERE a warm up show, yes, but If you were a fan who had went to that show and saw the lack of, energy (I guess would be the word for it), would the same comment still be said?

And as a side note:

D) I also would have given my left arm (not my right one, I do too much with it :Smokin: ) to see this show... I am just not AS disappointed (still very disappointed that I missed it considering I started text messaging the second I thought the show would get out asking how it was  ). After seeing Slough Feg's amazing performance at HC2, I've been twitching in my chair, waiting to see them again. And seeing HoM is a big time *want*, no matter the band. Say, who wants to road trip to SXSW?

Yeah I know what you were saying. I've seriously considered SXSW but the only thing is, you get a thousand bands going off and on stages via revolving doors....it's just constant (and random) so you can have bluegrass back to back with metal and then some rap etc.

It just sounds too diluted maybe.

Well, some parts of the organization come really well, like, heres the lineup for the venue the night Hammers and Slough Feg play:

Emo's IV Lounge
(601 Red River St) (All Ages)
Tone Deaf Touring
Bible of the Devil 8:00 p.m. Chicago IL Metal
Slough Feg 9:00 p.m. San Francisco CA Metal
Stinking Lizaveta 10:00 p.m. Philadelphia PA Rock
Weedeater 11:00 p.m. Wilmington NC Metal
Kylesa 12:00 a.m. Savannah GA Metal
Hammers of Misfortune 1:00 a.m. San Francisco CA Metal

Which is a pretty good lineup...

And then the next night Ludicra plays somewhere.

The problem is, trying to plot out a schedule of which venues to be at at what times. Its simple in the case of the Bible of the Devil/Slough Feg/Hammers of Misfortune venue, but in the case of Ludicra, they're playing with a buncha crap. And theres a few intersting bands (Les Claypool's Electric Apricot...) playing before and after all across town. Would end up being a costly experience without a rental car (or just driving down there).

Most likely, I won't be bothered about skipping out on it, due to the large amount of money I would spend, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go to Alehorn of Power and see Slough Feg and Bible of the Devil there.
