I'm pretty baffled as to how and why they got those people in on it, but it's hilarious how obviously fake that is.
The mismatched sound effects, really shit looking finish on the hover boards... I mean, if you're going to do something like this and have such big names on board (no pun intended), why not try a bit harder than that?
As to why this was done, I agree that it must have something to do with (surprisingly) Back to the Future. Someone mentioned a 30th anniversary.

We can achieve quantum levitation, but it requires cooling with liquid nitrogen:

Of course it is but millions of times too weak on a 1x2 feet area of its surface. It's also dynamic instead of static. You can make a compass with a needle, a leaf and some water but you'll mindfuck it with the amount of metal you got in your head if you stand nearby (you're a metalhead, right ?).
