I really wouldn't consider Likferd a folk metal album but it is pretty awesome. Haven't heard the other two.

and maaaet is neofolk, not folk metal. but yea, they kick ass.

same here...Actually, Alestorm is the only one of those bands I've heard...
They kick fucking ass. Not folky. Like really really ballsy power metal. Vocals aren't typical power metal.

Tenhi is good but it's more like ambient neo-folk.

Tehni is good but overrated as fuck by metal fans who don't know the neofolk genre imo. There are alot better bands out there in that style.

I dunno about 'ambient'


I mean, songs like "Lualuin Sinulle" are more upbeat and almost 'rock' with their uncommon [for the Neofolk genre] use of drums. Maybe we use the word differently, when I hear 'ambient' I think Raison D'être, Nest, etc.
