I don't know man, I find the encoder extremely useful. It saves a lot of time setting input/output levels.

+1 that's a main feature, very useful to control almost everything.
You have to push it/turn to choose what you want to control, then push again and turn to change the values.
I use it all the time to control output volume (on headphones, monitors...etc).

Maybe it's easy to fix ?
