Kick doesn't sound too Hard/heavy style... it is more kinda moder metal style, but I like it! Great song, playing and singer.

The drums sound a bit mono and tucked away in the back, let the overheads come up. Other than that it sounds really cool, slightly overcompressed though, the loudness war is pointless.

Great mix, I'd personally go for a more natural drum sound tho (something dirtier and para comp'd as fuck ). The song reminds me Spiritual Beggars in a way. I love this kind of music!

suprised at all the positive comments, thanks guys but i think it sounds a bit shit compared to what I'm aiming for.

With regards to the drums, I had a pair of overheads, room mic, hihat mic and used a big old guitar cab as a subkick. I would really like to bring the room levels up a bit but there's some nasty broadband hi-mid buildup from the hi hats that i'm having trouble reducing.

Guitars are all ampsims, quad tracked (guitars were a les paul and an sg - sounded great before they were even plugged in!)

Already got a really dirty parallel bus on the drums, maybe i should turn it up a bit more? but again I get the problem with the overbearing hihats.
