How do I emulate the tube/tape saturated vocal sounds of the early 60's?

I'm about to do a couple of Sinatra-like recordings just for fun, and I need to fake some tubes and tape to get the vocals right. Are there any plugin(s) that will do this with decent results? My signal chain is Studio Projects B1 -> TLA 5050 Tube Preamp (yeah, there is one tube in there, but I need more) -> soundcard.

Maybe I can CurveEQ the end of this clip to get (some of) the frequencies right?

For tape saturation my favorite is Ferox, Massey Tapehead (protools only) is good too.

check out the saturation plugins on this page, most of them are really kick ass and some are free or really low cost.

a ribbon mic might help!!
maybe the thomann cheapo ribbon will do the trick

I love those really old elvis recordings where his voice starts distorting when he sings loudly.

A lot of Sinatra's recording's were done using a C-37a as well. I would definitely try and get a (nice) tube microphone if you're trying to get that sound.

It'll get you there a lot faster.
