How Do You Externally Process SSD 3.5?!

Hi there,

I've had a gander on the forum looking for ways to process slate samples a little more than they already are. I've tried mixing the drums to make them a little snappyer/heavier sounding but i just end up with over-compressed crap.

so, would anyone care to enlighten me on how you would process the slate samples compression/eq wise.

if it helps, here's a short clip of some drums for a song im working on. it's relatively unprocessed and just doesn't cut it for me!
