For the longest time, I've been pronouncing it {bork'-ne-gar} then I hear someone pronouncing it {bork-nae'-gar}. Which is right? And is the "k" silent?

Its definitely bork-na-gar - just like its spelled. The emphesis lies on "bork" BORKnagar

This one guy says bork NAGAR...it pisses me off. He says it like bork-NOG-ERR

Actually, a drunk-assed Texan would probably say it more something like... Boak-nay-gur ...with the emphasis on the "nay". Yes, that's "boak", as in "boat"... the 'r' would be silent.

And it would probably go something like this...

"Wassat bayend y'all er listenin ta? Boaknaygur?"

Trust me, I know.

~Robert, a sober-assed Texan :)
