How do i put my stuff together?
well....

1. Play guitar, plug guitar into computer through mic input. (using just a multieffects pedal, no amp)
2. Record using a wav program on the computer (Cooledit Pro)
3. Mix/arrange/etc

Its as simple as that to record the guitars. But theres a lot of work involved in getting the right sounds (EQ, effects, Ampsims, etc)

But the drums are good to lay down as well, for that you'll probably need some knowledge of drums, then get a program that allows you to do some drum programming and export the audio into your audio program and record the guitars on another track.

helpful?

I guess I may as well ask this now...
Yayo I know I have asked a few questions about Cool Edit but I havn't really used it because of a major problem I am having...
I record one guitar then when I want to record a second guitar it plays the first, thats normal, so I play along with what is coming out of track one and it all matches up while im playing it. But when I play it back over time the two tracks dont match up over time. One may be slowing down slightly over time to where eventually both guitars don't match up anymore. I thought that it may be gliches of some sort that occur in the recording...
It is kind of hard to describe, but if you know what the problem is I would like to know how to fix it. Thanks a lot

Sounds to me like a soundcard problem. Might need to change some settings around or something.
