how is trophy hunting not illegal?

As for the heads on a wall I don't see a problem with it. It’s not like somebody is going to eat a deer or moose head. Well somebody might but not me. Keeping it on the wall is just a memento from their kill like taking pictures of dead enemy soldiers.:Smokedev:

You don't find the latter the least bit sick? Why not keep enemy soldiers' skulls around as trophies, or better yet ashtrays. Why settle for shitty pictures, that someone can claim to be shopped?

The point is that for most people killing anything or anyone is a traumatizing experience, reveling in it is not normal in this day and age and hints at gross social disfunction.

I'm really not sure what you're trying to say here but if I'm understanding correctly, you're wrong. Rape is not crime of lust or sexual desire, but is motivated out of the desire to exercise power over another individual. It's a violent crime, not a sexual one. It's like if you stabbed someone and then happened to jizz randomly.

I'm not really sure if many people outside of US would agree :) In our country, rape is simply forcing someone to have sex. What about people with some kind of mental defect? I know about lots of cases of people who simply couldn't control their sexual appetites and raped someone.
But even if I stick to your definition that it is an exercise of power over someone else, well, one COULD say that exercising power is one of the instincts as well (Nietzschean will to power). We also see bullying and violence against the weaker among animals - and more importantly, most of hierarchies in the world of animals is based on power.

When I said vegetarian I was including people that do not eat any eggs, fish etc. This is probably not an accurate since I don't know the technical definition of what makes somebody a vegetarian or a vegan.

Vegetarian - does not eat animal meat - tuna, beef, chicken etc

Vegan - does not eat any animal produce in general, includes all of the above but also stuff like milk, eggs, cheese and anything that is derived from an animal.

And sorry I meant to link you to the general bios page, theres some guys on there that only train for strength as well, like the second guy:

http://www.veganbodybuilding.com/?page=bios

But yeah, its not something I would actively take up (I do enjoy meat), I just found it interesting that they could sustain that in general.

Actually....

Vegetarian - does not eat animal meat - tuna, beef, chicken etc
Vegan - Cunt

Owen those veggie eating guys you linked are indeed impressive. There diets must be really disciplined.

I know I am getting off the original topic carrying on about vegetarians, but one of my wife’s friends told me that there is a special kind of vegetarian were you do get to eat eggs and fish. Which seems like it kind of misses the point from an ethical standpoint. But I suppose there are people that are vegetarians for purely health reasons too.

I agree that vegans are obnoxious in the same way straight edge people are.

To kvoid: If there are no pictures taken to remember a kill soldiers might forget what their enemies look like and will be unable to command them to serve them in the afterlife......

Oh no it gets worse, you're down with the invisible man in the sky...

Don't really disagree with either you and Drew on that one

I can see the reasoning behind it I just think the moment you have to start imposing your way of life on everyone else is the moment you are a twat. Nothing against non-drinkers or vegans I just think if you have to make a 'lifestyle' out of it then you are a bit of a dick, bit like God, I don't care if people believe in a higher power but I periodically don't want to hear about it unless I ask specifically and if not then please STFU.

I hear you Owen. I quit drinking over 5 years ago and I am totally cool with people getting wasted.

Whenever my wife and I are introduced to someone new and they learn we both don't drink they start assuming we are some high and mighty preachy bastards. They quickly learn that we are cool with pretty much anybody’s lifestyle and enjoy hanging out with friends in bars, strip clubs etc.

Kvoid: Be more creative. I am really bored at work right now. You need to get motivated if you’re going to be entertaining. Maybe a joke will lighten you up: How do you know when an Iraq family is large? When you have to reload.

dude your first post was dead on. about more people would be veg if hey weren't removed from their food sources. the pretty pictures of farms on sunny hills with cute piglets on the packages are really just hell on earth and torture chambers and showcases the worst of humanity. big difference. if the average person worked in a slaughterhouse for a week and slaughtered their own bacon or hamburger thigns would be different for sure....

Maybe for some people...but not everyone. Doesn't phase me a bit. I love meat. I only eat vegetables for the health benefit...not the taste (with a few, rare exceptions). But then again, I know meat doesn't just magically appear in pretty little packages. I also get hungry just looking at a cow (steer...if you want to be more accurate). And veal is yummy.

Greywolf there are lots of really great tasting veggies. You just have to eat them when they are fresh, they are a million times better tasting then. I recommend asparagus on the grill with butter and goat cheese and some chicken.

Now I am hungry again.

^ This is really good. Actually, a friend of mine made an asparagus pizza on the barbecue with pesto and all, it was great.

Like I said...with a few rare exceptions. ;) I love asparagus and broccoli, and my new love is chick pea salad. There's a few others too. However, meat still reigns supreme in satisfying taste (in my book, that is).

I try to live by the following: I only eat what I would be comfortable killing myself. Because of this, my meat intake is primarily seafood and poultry. I try to always buy free range, organic meat and dairy products. I'm not completely opposed to hunting for food. Growing up, this is how we survived a lot of the time and it's much more humane than factory farming. I'm definitely opposed to sport hunting, though.

Mmmm... barbecue pizza sounds good. There is a place in my town were they serve a similar pizza with sun dried tomatoes on it and it is excellent.

Now I am in the mood to go to the farmers market and get a bunch of fresh fixings this weekend. Better save my money since I will have to pay out the ass for it.
