I have a question or ten. Is an lp and a record the same thing? If so, why would you collect lps if you don't have a record player (unless you do have a record player) or is it so that you can have as much Anthrax (or whoever) merchandise as possible for your collection - more like a thrill of collecting as opposed to actually being able to listen to the music on the lp. Did this make sense? My brother's friend way back in the day had a lot of Anthrax records that I inherited but I threw them out when I was upgrading to tape (which you can see I kind of stopped there for the time being) and now that I see people actually collect them, I could kick myself for throwing them out. What makes an lp collectible but not a cassette tape? I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to collecting stuff. The reason I am even asking is because there is another band that just came out that I bought their CD but they have limited edition vinyls and I was wondering if it was even worth getting. I'm lost.
