I've been reading up about it, and apparently the original pressings of the CD did not have the Opeth logo on the front, just the picture of the Orchid.

There is also the re-issue with the extra song.

The version I have has the Opeth logo on the booklet (in orange). The Cd tray is also see through.

Are there anymore versions? Why weren't the layout errors fixed after the original pressings?

Doubt it, I have the same ;) And a big fat sticker saying:

OPETH
"Orchid"
The best of the new Swedish wave of
Extreme metal. An utter masterpiece.

I just had to leave that on, of course :D

I got the one with the logo but without bonus tracks also. Are the CDs themselves all blue?

we are repeating this soooooo much:

1.1st release by candlelight - without logo and bonustracks

2.2nd release by plastichead with bonstrack and orange logo

3.2nd release by plastichead - double vinyl edition with bonustrack and the worst package i've ever seen

Ugh. Argh. RAPE!
Bonus tracks (which don't fit in with the original tracks at all) and an orange logo? Christ...

I had always thought there were only two versions out.

Well mine is from Century Media, licensed by Candlelight, orange logo, no bonus tracks.

Yeahs, my first 3 Opeth CDs are the Century Black releases. Logos, but no bonus tracks. I don't think they ever did any distribution of Still Life. Mine's straight from Peaceville.

this time "opeth" was written with a special font *oh joy*

No stickers for the other two!

oh, fuck!

century media releases opeth stuff for america. did the same for katatonia's stuff. so i guess americans have this version which is the 1st release with the logo released by century black.

i said bonus track, not bunus trackS. the b.t. is just one, called "eternal soul torture" or "into the frost of winter".

i mentioned the european releases, i guess.

so candlelight didn't release any of their albums on vinyl?
which label did?
I ordered morningrise and Orchid on vinyl...
