how many have the new porcupine tree cd?

what are your opinions on it as a cd, and how would you compare it to the rest of their catalog?

Dig the new album, couldn't make it to the NYC show, although I DID try to get there. The new album is REAL diverse, goes from atmospheric, to some real crunchy riffs, and the usual in between proggy stuff. I like it.

New album grows on me with every listen. Saw them at Irving Plaza in NYC, they put on a phenomenal show. The Deadwing material comes off even better live than it does on the album!

Deadwing is good by most standards, but compared to In Absentia and their previous work, i find it lacking-- because it's so disjointed and lacking any coherent vibe present in all their older stuff.

Just discovered this band over the last month or so, and picked up Deadwing in preparation for the Milwaukee show this weekend. Love it...
