how many of you are professional AE/Producer...?

As I make my living out of the studio I think I have to consider myself a pro.
But I am still learning...and there is still sooooo much to learn.

Mostly my clients are semi-professionals and amateur bands but a lot of hobby bands as well. So there is lot of editing and auto-tuning to do...;-)

Im pro as a front of house engineer and trying to break into recording. Im toning down the touring as I get older and want more security so the day job is now in place but Im trying to increase the recording to decrease the dayjob

The live sound biz is kinda booming right now. Most FOH mixers that are getting paid aren't young guys, either.

This maybe the case but i know a lot of the older guys who are sick of doing it and have already seen the world and want to settle at home a bit more. This in turn leaves room for some of us younger guys

congrats man, as metalkingdom said, I'm also envious. if i were to move to canada i'd wanna work there or morrisound. both amazing studios.

Thanks man! yeah its a great thing to be able to enjoy your work as much as i do. can get stressful but worth it in the end. i'm actually in el paso right now at sonic ranch doing the new devildriver. jason suecof producing, i'm engineering. Great times! i really think this may sonically be our best effort to date. its certainly dd's best songwise imo.
