How much money do bands get from spotify?

Spotify seems a great way to get free music, i use it all the time. But how much money actually filters through to the record labels, let alone the artists?

Well that sucks. Then again it's not really a fair comparison as some are per album, some are per track, some are per play.

Lol at the huge ball, I was figuring it would be something like that, you can`t really expect to gain enough out of online radio plays I think, I myself would just be grateful my music is featured in online playlists?

I think the labels that own Spotify makes some money. But yes, the artist get almost nothing.

If this graphic is true, then working directly with iTunes is a steal. Going through CDBaby and making it available on the iTunes store seems to be a better option.

Nah, look closer and notice when it is refering to total/label/artist shares on the right side. If you are dealing directly with itunes you make more than if you are dealing with them via cdbaby, but almost no one could do that without a label.
